SCHOOLS OF MASSAGE THERAPY
The following is a list of schools of massage therapy that are approved by the NLMTA. There are many schools in Canada, not all of them are listed here. If you need more information, a list of provincial associations is included. Please note that the NLMTA does not endorse any one school and encourages prospective students to thoroughly research all schools before making a decision as to where to study.
We recommend the standard minimum of a 2200 hour program that will allow the challenging of registration exams in Ontario, Newfoundland & Labrador or the 3000 hour program in B.C. Exemption from the Newfoundland & Labrador exam will occur when the exam has been passed in Ontario or B.C. Successful exam candidates are permitted to use the designation Registered Massage Therapist/ RMT.
